Mayor Bob Bratina New Years Day Levee (January 1st, 2011)
To kick of the New Year, Mayor Bob Bratina hosted a levee today at Hamilton City Hall from 2pm-4pm. A levee is an occasion to call upon representatives of the monarch, military and municipal governments to exchange New Year's greetings and best wishes for the New Year, to renew old acquaintances and to meet new friends. It is also an opportunity to reflect upon the events of the past year and to welcome opportunities of the New Year. Councillors Maria Pearson, Jason Farr and Terry Whitehead also made an appearance.Below are some pictures and a video story of the event.
