Mayor Bob Bratina and Bob Young unveil their plan to keep stadium at Ivor Wynne

Bob Bratina and Bob Young Press Conference
It's official, after much speculation and an email from the Mayor himself floating around, Mr. Bratina and Bob Young announced what many have been talking about for hours before it actually happened. The picture is a lot more clearer in regards to the plans, like the demolition of Ivor Wynne and the rebuilding of a new 25,000 seat home for the Tiger Cats who have shown interest in signing a 20 year lease.
This is not the best solution for us,” Young said. But he added it’s one the team is willing to work with. The Ticat owner said that team partners Molson-Coors, Primus and Tim Hortons have agreed to provide money for the project, though he didn’t give any specific dollar amounts. The newly revamped stadium will also have enough seats to host Grey Cup games in the future.
There is no indication if Hostco is aware of, or backs the plan and if Council will warm up to the idea at tomorrow's Council meeting.

This brings me to 4 months ago when Mayoral candidate Michael James Baldasaro openly discussed this idea in front of Council and even made a video about the plan which failed to play in the Council chambers because of a technical glitch. Either way take a look at the video below of Michael J Baldasaro talking about rebuilding Ivor Wynne months ago.
