New Ward 2 Councillor Jason Farr introduces new host, former Mayor Larry Di Ianni. VIDEO
There's a familiar face that will be taking over at Cable 14 for host and new Ward 2 Councillor Jason Farr. Yesterday there was an announcement by Jason during his last show as host of "For The Record" introducing new host Larry Di Ianni. Di Ianni was unsuccessful in this years mayoral race finishing 2nd to winner Bob Bratina. Check out the video of the introduction and Larry's first episode as host of "For The Record".

I wonder if the ratings will go down now?
ReplyDeleteThis is a publicity ploy by Cable 14. They know the bad press this would get. But any press is good press, especially Cable 14. With Bob as new Mayor, this will give Mr. Di Ianni a platfrom to question Mr.Bratina's every move, while he sits on the fence just like he did with Fred on the stadium issue. I'm predicting that in 4 years time that Larry will come out of retirement and run for Mayor again, because "the people" wanted him to run again.

I've had the pleasure of working with Jason at Y108 with the morning show and he knows this community inside out. He's put his time in the community for over 20 years and it payed off at the polls. Larry coming in as host, I believe will increase viewership definitely at Cable 14. At the end of the day, Larry is going to bring in more viewers than a fresh face would have. Let's give him a chance. There is a learning curve for everyone starting out a new gig.
