Tonight "Mr. Scarface" himself, Al Pacino made an appearance at Carmen's Banquet Hall. The $250-a-plate dinner fundraiser raised over $150,000 for Empower Global and Good Shepherd Centres of Hamilton. 1200 showed up to see Mr. Pacino, ranking second for the banquet hall. Only Bill Clinton had a larger attendance. Mr. Pacino answered many questions and announced that he is making a movie with Adam Sandler that starts filming in January. Adam Sandler apparently will be playing a women in that one. Hamilton is one of only 3 appearances Mr. Pacino will be making in North America this year, with Hamilton being his only Canadian stop.
