VOTE FOR BERNARD JOSIPOVIC as Ward 9,10 and 11 Hamilton-Wentoworth Catholic District School Board Trustee on October 27 2014

Stoney Creek/Hamilton, ONTARIO, 13 September 2014—It is with great pleasure that we welcome and formally introduce Mr. Bernard Josipovic, the newest candidate running for Ward 9, 10 and 11 Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board Trustee.

Bernard joins the candidacy with a professional, academic and personal background in the Senior Care Business Management field.  Having grown up and educated in Hamilton, Bernard attended St. Eugene’s Elementary, Bishop Ryan High school followed by a Post-Grad in Public Relations from Mohawk College. Bernard has lived in Hamilton/Stoney Creek for over 25 years.

Having previously run in the 2010 Municipal Ward 10 Election for Councilor, Bernard finished 2nd to the incumbent with 1,995 votes. Bernard visited over 6000 homes in the Ward and showed that with hard work and dedication anything is possible. It is this hard work and representation Bernard wants to bring as a trustee. Bernard believes transparency and open dialogue is necessary, and that open dialogue about our education system is a must, whether there are issues or not. “I believe that in being available to residents with concerns enables a trustee to get a clear idea of issues a trustee should bring to the forefront”

An active member of the Sons of Italy Men’s Soccer Team (Stoney Creek Crusader's), Bernard believes that sports keep students healthy physically and mentally and encourages students to partake in physical exercise.

No Public Fountains at Hamilton’s Tim Horton's Field

If you want a drink of water at Hamilton’s brand new football stadium, you’ll have to pay for it.

Tim Hortons Field, home of the Tiger-Cats and the soccer events at next summer’s Pan Am Games, has no public water fountains. Fans looking for water will have to buy it from the concession stands, where under a 20-year license agreement with the city the Tiger-Cats take the bulk of the profits.

During the first-ever event at Tim Hortons Field — the Labour Day Classic between the Ti-Cats and Toronto Argonauts — concession stands where charging $3.50 for a 591 millilitre bottle of Dasani.

Other major sports facilities in the GTA, including the Air Canada Centre, Rogers Centre and BMO Field, all have public water fountains where fans can fill up.
Most have some rules over what kind of bottles can be brought in, but clear plastic bottles are normally OK.
Hamilton’s FirstOntario Centre, however, doesn’t have public fountains either.
