It’s happened to every one of us at one time or another, you’re driving at what seems at a comfortable speed, and then all of a sudden an officer steps on the road signalling you to pull over.
According to the National Motorists Association, we are the second worse city in Canada for speed traps.
It says Hamilton has five speed traps for every 100 thousand residents.
It also says the Hamilton is 15th overall in North America.
The findings are based on speed zones submitted anonymously by drivers on the association's National Speed Trap Exchange. Only Windsor is worse.

Highway 52, Copetown
Speed is 70 km. Cruiser parks in the cemetary at corner of Highway 52 and 2nd Concession
Redhill Expressway westbound at Greenhill
An officer stands on the Greenhill overpass with a radar gun pointed at vehicles travelling westbound before the overpass. Once drivers reach the other side of the overpass, there are police cars lined up all the way down the Greenhill onramp to pull over the cars tagged by the radar gun. This is a favourite spot for them. It's usually between 8and 10am and is at least 3 times per week, with an increase in frequency towards the end of the month.
Lincoln Alexander Expressway eastbound at Upper Paradise
Morning is a favourite time. They sit under the overpass and you don't notice them because you’re driving into the sun.
