Parking By-Laws???

Today as I walked down McIntosh I saw at least 15-20 cars with parking tickets on them. On ONE street? Needless to say the residents of this neighborhood were not pleased at all. The biggest complaint is that residents are getting tickets and they don't even know why they got them.

One women I spoke to said she has been living in the area for 30 years and just this year she got her first 2 tickets. Her biggest complaint is that she has to move her vehicle every 12 hours, so when she goes up north, she has to get neighbors to move her cars around so she isn't hit with a ticket. I heard many stories like this.

There is a by-law that was put in place, but there are no signs. So if you want to learn the parking by-law in your neighborhood. Your going to have to learn the hard way, with a nice ticket hooked on to your windshield.
Your only other option is to look into the laws yourself, or be one of the many to learn the hard way.
This is one of the MANY issues that's wrong with Ward 10.
Aren't the parking meters that were placed in downtown Stoney Creek enough of a money grab??

Why is Councillor Maria not standing up for the constituents of this Ward?

This issue needs to be addressed.

On October 25th, let's give Councillor Maria a one way ticket out of Ward 10.

Vote for Bernard Josipovic for Ward 10 Councillor.

  1. I don't have any sympathy here, I don't think *enough* parking tickets are given out.

I thought it was common knowledge that you can't park on city streets overnight, yet people do it everywhere - including commercial vehicles. Very discouraging.

Sure, put up signs stating the rules, but it's time that parking is enforced.
